Dragon Ball: Son Zaru

My OC.

Son Zaru, born Ternos, is a Saiyan Monkey born to Gabbae and Gingka on Planet Vegeta and later sent to Planet Earth alongside his friend Goku where they were found and raised by Gohan as his grandsons. After the two Saiyans fell from a high cliff, they lost their Saiyan memories and become polite young boys. Before Grandpa Gohan's passing, he trained the two boys in martial arts and taught them a few things about Earth. Zaru and Goku lived alone with the Four Star Dragon Ball that is considered to be their most cherished possession, suddenly they were encountered by a young girl named Bulma Briefs, who was searching for their Dragon Ball. Bulma convinces the boys to accompany her on her journey to find the remaining Dragon Balls. Along the way, they meet Oolong, Yamcha and Puar who join them on their journey. The team encounters enemies who also search for the Dragon Balls for their own greedy reasons, such as Emperor Pilaf and his two henchmen, Mai and Shu. They were able to thwart his plans and decided to search for the Dragon Balls once again.

When Bulma accidentally hurt Zaru's feelings, he runs away wanting to know who or what he really was. He encounters a young pig boy named Zhun Bozong, who challenges him to a fight after eating his food. The two struggled against each others special abilities and strength, however, Zaru was able to defeat Bozong, earning his respect. The two began traveling together on a journey to find the Dragon Balls or to fight more bad guys. They were encountered by a mysterious assassin with sand-like powers causing the two boys to try and fight her off, but she vanished. While Zaru thought she was fun, Bozong on the other hand chastised him for thinking that because she was trying to kill them. They knew that she may return and decided to prepare. She reappeared and began her attack on Zaru and Bozong, ending the fight in a draw when Zaru decided to spare her. Grateful, the young assassin revealed her identity as a fox girl and introduces herself as Mioka Ahri. Bozong demanded to know why she was trying to kill them, only for Ahri to state that she was trying to protect her village from bandits and assumed that they were. Zaru forgives her, but Bozong continues to distrust her which causes Zaru to invite her to join them on their journey, much to Ahri's delight and Bozong's absolute shock.

The trio traveled together where Zaru reunites with his brother Goku and introduces him to his new friends. The four travel to West City in order to train under Master Roshi, after which they met another youngster wanting to train under the master, a monk from the Orin Temple named Krillin. The five youngsters officially became Master Roshi's students after bringing the bipolar young lady named Launch to his little island. After months of training, Goku, Zaru, Bozong, Ahri and Krillin became some of the most powerful fighters in the world and they all decided to enter the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament to test the results of their training. They performed well, but they all lost against Jackie Chun(a disguised Master Roshi).

After the tournament, the Z Fighters, excluding Krillin, travel around to fight stronger opponents, search for the Dragon Balls and defeat other evil villains. The young fighters encountered the notorious Red Ribbon Army whose commander was after the Dragon Balls for his own greed. Each of the members try to fight the powerful youngsters, but each were ultimately defeated.

Later, the four youngsters, now 16-17 years old, enter the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament where they meet their new rivals Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, who heard of their reputations as martial artists trained under Master Roshi. After a number of rounds, Tien fights Goku and wins out of sheer luck, but was defeated by Zaru in the Championship Round. Zaru became the new world martial arts champion. After the tournament, Goku, Zaru and the others discovered that their friend Krillin was killed by King Piccolo's mutated son Tambourine. Furious, the young fighters fly after him, only for the Flying Nimbus to be destroyed. They soon meet a young samurai named Yajirobe who possesses a Dragon Ball, but were defeated by King Piccolo. Yajirobe takes them to Korin's Tower to recover, there the four drank the Ultra Divine Water to become stronger. Later, they track down King Piccolo and finally defeat him. Goku and Zaru killed the demon king by penetrating his chest with one final simultaneous punch. Little did they know, King Piccolo, with the last of his strength, managed to spit out an egg to a far off land which contained his last son and reincarnation, Piccolo Jr.

After Korin tells the team about Kami, the creator of the Dragon Balls, who can revive the Dragon Shenron. Once they reach Kami's Lookout, they passed Mr. Popo's test of speed and Kami recreates Shenron and has the dragon revive Krillin, Chiaotzu and Master Roshi, earning the four young martial artists to train under Kami in preparations for the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournaments to fight Piccolo Jr. who expects to get revenge. While Zaru fought a good fight against Piccolo, Goku was able defeat him and win the 23rd tournament. After the tournament, Zaru, Bozong and Ahri attend Goku and Chi-Chi's wedding, leading to a new life of peace.

Years later, Goku and Zaru decide to visit their old friends and introduce them to Goku's son, Son Gohan. While Goku brings Gohan to meet Krillin, Bulma and Master Roshi, Zaru goes to reunite with Bozong and Ahri, who are recently married to each other much to Zaru's surprise. Their reunion was cut short when an Ape man appeared introducing himself as a Saiyan Monkey named Pota, Zaru/Ternos' older brother, leaving the trio in shock. After explaining what they are, Pota proceeds and kicks Zaru's face, temporarily incapacitating him while informing him that his battle partner Raditz has kidnapped Goku/Kakarot's son and they plan to conquer the Earth if they do not join them. In order to save Gohan and the Earth, the planet's greatest fighters Goku, Zaru, Bozong, Ahri and Piccolo team up to fight the evil Saiyans, Raditz and Pota. Zaru struggled to combat his brother, even with assistance from Bozong and Ahri. As Pota begins torturing Zaru, he was halted when witnessing Raditz being struck by Gohan, leading Ahri to strike a distracted Pota. With Pota somewhat grazed by the attack, Zaru quickly grapples him in restraint and demands Bozong to kill them both with his technique as he plans to sacrifice himself to save the Earth. Reluctant, but willing to honor his friend's request, Bozong unleashes his specialty, "Zhubaqi," blasting and killing both of the Saiyan Monkeys. Before he passed, Pota states that four even more powerful Saiyans will arrive on Earth in one year. This caused Bozong to state that they must train hard if they are going to protect Earth while Piccolo takes Gohan away to train him. While the Z Fighters train on Earth, Zaru and Goku were sent to Other World where they travel to King Kai's planet in order to receive training from the legendary martial arts master. In one year, the training completed and the two Saiyans return to Earth in time to save Gohan and Krillin from the two evil Saiyans, Nappa and Zubach. After discovering their friends deaths and sacrifices, Zaru and Goku's fury rise and quickly defeat the two evil Saiyans with their Kaio-Ken. The two Saiyan princes, Vegeta and Cuco, kill their former subordinates and decide to fight Goku and Zaru themselves. After a long parring battle, the two Saiyan princes become infuriated at the thought of someone being as strong as them and decided to create an artificial moon to become Oozarus and overwhelm Goku and Zaru. However, Vegeta and Cuco's tails were cut off and soon defeated by Goku and Zaru's Spirit Bomb. Krillin prepares to execute Vegeta and Cuco, but Goku and Zaru decide to show them mercy in hopes they will change their evil ways and one day to have a rematch with them.

Healing in the hospital, the gang wondered how they were going to bring their friends back to life since Piccolo's death caused Kami and the Earth Dragon Balls to disappear along with him. Mr. Popo tells them of Kami and Piccolo's original homeworld known as Planet Namek, where there are another set of Dragon Balls known as the Namekian Dragon Balls. Bulma decided to take Krillin and Gohan with her to Planet Namek while Zaru and Goku finish healing. After eating some senzu beans, the two Saiyans rapidly healed and immediately rush out of the hospital and into the Brief's house where they plan to use Dr. Brief's spaceship to get to Namek. While training in the ship with the gravity multiplier in order to combat the evil aliens fighting Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta and Cuco, King Kai warned them about Freiza, an evil tyrant who is also after the Dragon Balls. When the two arrived on Namek, Zaru and Goku give their friends each a senzu bean, even their arch rivals. They quickly defeat the Ginyu Force with little effort and soon got prepared to face Captain Ginyu, but the captain uses his body switch technique on Goku. While Vegeta and Cuco defeated Ginyu and Goku returned to his body. Goku and Zaru were taken to Frieza's ship where they recover. After sensing Frieza's power, Goku and Zaru rush to the battlefield in time to hear the Saiyan princes tell of Frieza's genocide of the Saiyan race along with their planet as well as his fear for them, begging the two heroes avenge the Saiyan race by defeating Frieza. The two die, causing Zaru and Goku to begin fighting Frieza, reaching the point of the two Saiyans resorting to use the Spirit Bomb. They managed to hit Frieza, but he survived and began attacking the team; blasting Piccolo to knock him unconscious and obliterating Krillin right before their very eyes. This caused Goku and Zaru to explode with rage, unleashing their hidden Saiyan power; transforming into Super Saiyans and began beating Freiza with extreme prejudice, making the evil tyrant suffer and forced him to fight at his maximum power. After Frieza used his last-ditch move to blow up the planet, Goku and Zaru fought him at his full power and eventually defeated him, stating that he was becoming weaker as they continue fighting. Infuriated, Freiza tried to kill the two Super Saiyans, but accidentally slices his own body with his own attack. As he begs to be spared, Zaru and Goku began berating Frieza for all that he has done, but decided to show mercy and give him some of their energy before taking off. Frieza tried using the energy to kill the two Saiyans, but they countered with simultaneous Angry Kamehameha Waves, blasting away the evil tyrant. As they try to escape Namek before it exploded, Goku and Zaru escaped in two Ginyu spacepods and landed on the Planet Yardrat, where they train and heal before returning home.

One year later, Zaru and Goku return to Earth where everyone was waiting for them. Wondering how they knew where the two would be, they state that two mysterious Saiyans, names Trunks and Bruse, knew who they were and how they single-handedly defeated Frieza, King Cold and their little army. Trunks and Bruse began testing Goku and Zaru's strengths as Super Saiyans and privately told the two of who they really are as they hail from a ruined future. Trunks, future son Vegeta and Bulma, and Bruse, future son of Cuco and Kolofie, tell them of their fate where they will die from a heart virus and about the androids, created by Dr. Gero, killing many people including the Z Fighters as well as destroying cities. They proceed and hand them each the antidote for their future illness, imploring Zaru and Goku to be prepared to fight the androids in one year. Heeding the two youths' prediction, the Z Fighters make their way to the city where the androids make their appearance. They encountered Androids 19 and 20, surprised to discover that Dr. Gero himself is an android. Zaru and Goku decided to take the fight away from the city. As they turn into Super Saiyans, they began their fight against Android 19 and Dr. Gero, fighting a good fight until their heart viruses began to take over, giving the Androids the chance to drain the Saiyans' energies. Suddenly, Vegeta and Cuco strike the Androids, and reveal that they too had become Super Saiyans and proceeded in finishing off Android 19 by blasting him to bits. Before Dr. Gero could retreat, Trunks and Bruse arrived in time, but were shocked to see that the androids they have been fighting are not the same ones they warned about. Dr. Gero managed to reach his secret laboratory and awakened Android 17/Lapis and Android 18/Lazuli, only for them to turn on their creator. While the team began fighting the androids, Goku and Zaru were given the antidotes for their heart viruses and rested until they recovered. Once healed, the two Saiyans decided to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber on Kami's Lookout, in order to gain a year's worth of training in only one day. Before they began training with Gohan, Zaru decided to let Cuco and Bruse train first along with Vegeta and Trunks. Zaru sensed that their friends were in trouble from fighting Cell, he and Goku used their Instant Transmission technique to take Piccolo and Tien back to the lookout in time for Vegeta, Cuco, Trunks and Bruse to emerge from the chamber, more powerful than ever.

As they make their way to the battlefield to face Cell, it was time for Zaru, Goku and Gohan to train in the Time Chamber in order to not only to become stronger, but to help Gohan become a Super Saiyan. When Cell achieved his perfect form, he decided to create a fighting tournament dubbed as the Cell Games as his personal game to decide the fate of the world, causing the Z Fighters to prepare for the tournament where they will fight and defeat Perfect Cell. Zaru wanted to be the first to fight Cell, however Goku decided that he will be first. As Goku tests Cell's power, he forfeits the match and said Gohan will be the one to defeat Cell. After Gohan stated the fight to be pointless as well as the reason behind Goku's decision in believing Gohan will defeat Cell. This made the bio-android intrigued and decided to make him angry by summoning a group of Cell Jrs. to attack the Z Fighters. After Cell crushed Android 16's head, Gohan's rage exploded and transforms into Super Saiyan 2, making quick work of the Cell Jrs. and destroyed them. He then goes after after Cell himself and completely overwhelms him, used one powerful kick to force the bio-android to spit out Android 18, reverting him back to his previous form. The thought of losing to a child causes Cell to use a last-ditch move by planning to blow himself and the Earth up. Goku decided to sacrifice himself by using his Instant Transmission to transport himself and Cell to far away location. While Zaru wanted to help Goku, he was told to stay and to keep a promise for him. Zaru, Gohan and the other Z Fighters mourn over Goku's sacrifice, until suddenly, Perfect Cell had return with Goku's Saiyan cells, being more powerful than before. Gohan and Zaru decided to finish Cell together and with a little help from Goku in Otherworld, they launched simultaneous Kamehameha waves against Cell's. Nearly being overwhelmed by Cell's attack, Piccolo, joined by Bozong and Ahri and soon Krillin, Tien and Yamcha, began blasting Cell in order to support Zaru and Gohan. Vegeta and Cuco managed to launch a blast strong enough to falter Cell, giving Gohan the chance to obliterate the bio-android with a powerful Kamehameha wave, destroying all of the monster's cells preventing him from ever returning. The battle was over and peace was once again brought upon the Earth. After using the Earth Dragon Balls to revive all those who were killed by Cell and remove the bombs within Android 18 and Android 17, Goku said that he will stay in Otherworld and tells Zaru to save his own race by finding a wife and have children of his own.

One week later, Zaru meets a female Saiyan Monkey named Silana, who immediately attacked and questioned who he was. They later fight to see how strong the other was and Zaru accidentally knocks Silana unconscious, but she hits the ground head first, further losing her consciousness and soon her memories. After she awoke, Zaru tried to explain to her what happened, but to no avail, and her personality drastically changed. The two went on their first date, where they run into Cuco and his wife-to-be Kolofie who revealed that the two ladies are close friends. Soon after, Zaru and Silana were married and have two children, twins name Avokun and Pepira. While he trained his children few times, Zaru decided to visit and train with Goku in Otherworld, where he tells his brother the good news.

Five years later, Zaru returned to Earth with Goku where they reunite with their friends and family, and the Z Fighters enter the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament together. After Videl gets beaten badly and Gohan had his energy drained, the Z Fighters postponed their matches in the tournament to help the Supreme Kai fight Babidi and later the revived monster known Majin Buu. As the Z Fighters struggled to fight the monster, Zaru later fights Cuco, who was being controlled by Babidi, until Piccolo killed the evil wizard. Zaru was killed by Cuco during their fight, but quickly returned from Other World to finish the fight. He and Goku managed to snap Cuco and Vegeta back to normal and Cuco along with Vegeta decided to sacrifice themselves in an attempt to destroy Buu. Later, the two awoke and went to Kami's Lookout where they were healed by Dende. They teach Pepira, Bruse, Goten and Trunks the Fusion Dance, a technique they learned from Metamorans from Other World. Afterwards, Zaru and Goku transport themselves to Majin Buu's location where both transformed into Super Saiyan 3, quickly overwhelming Buu, however the transformation was brief and forces them to return to Other World. They discovered that Gohan and Avokun were alive and training with the Supreme Kai on his planet. Later, they returned to Earth to fight Super Buu, who had absorbed Fat Buu, Piccolo, Gotenks and Gohan, and Tale, who had absorbed Airi, Ahri, Pepiruse and Avokun. Knowing how overwhelmed they are, Goku and Zaru convinced Vegeta and Cuco to fuse with them via Potara Earrings. Goku and Vegeta became Vegitto while Zaru and Cuco became Cucernos, quickly dominating the two Majins. In the midst of their battle, Cucernos tries to reason with Tale, knowing that she is uncertain of what she must do and eventually, she decided to allow them save those she had absorbed by temporarily absorbing Cucernos. The fusion warrior defused back as Zaru and Cuco and the two search for Ahri, Airi, Pepira, Bruse and Avokun, removing them from Tale's body and reverting her back to normal. Zaru thanked Tale for helping them, claiming that she is a good person which caused her to question her role. As Buu reverted back to his original form, he destroyed Earth with a powerful blast. Kibito Kai saved them by transporting them to his world, where Goku, Zaru alongside Vegeta and Cuco finish the battle with Kid Buu. With Hercule's assistance, Goku and Zaru gather energy from all Earthlings to form the Super Spirit Bomb in their last attempt to destroy Kid Buu. Before igniting the Spirit Bomb, the two Saiyans wished for Kid Buu to return one day as a good person, destroying the evil Majin for good.

Ten years later, Zaru and Goku decide to enter the 28th World Martial Art Tournament to face a couple of secretly powerful individuals who plan to enter as well. Alongside Goku's granddaughter Pan and Zaru's granddaughter Kiku, half of the Z Fighters enter the tournament together, mostly to see who is the reincarnation of Buu. Goku got to fight Uub in his match while Zaru discovers that the other powerful fighter was actually Majin Tale disguised as a Human, trying to find a purpose on Earth, but Zaru states that she can be a protector of Earth like the Z Fighters and offers to train her to learn the ways of good. After Goku and Uub's match, the two Saiyans decide to live with Tale and Uub in order to train them in controlling their powers as well as to fight them in the future one day to see who is the strongest in the universe. The four take off together flying in the distance.
