Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: Golden Flash

A design of Ryan's Duel Runner.

After a few years of customization, Ryan decided to design the first Duel Runner with a lightning theme. The runner had a number of unique designs and features along with names to go with each. Due to his love for speed, Ryan decided to dub his runner as the "Golden Flash", originating from his self-made nickname when he was younger, his Light/Thunder themed deck as well as being the creator of Turbo Dueling.

Because this was his first and only runner, Ryan constantly maintains it without any assistance and treats it as a person. He pitched the idea and functions of Turbo Dueling to Kaiba Corps in which they designed many prototype Duel Runners and added the Duel Disks in order to test-run the idea with Ryan's help. He also states that Kaiba Corps must create new cards specifically for Turbo Dueling known as Synchro monsters, Tuner monsters and Speed spells and traps. Ryan turbo duels and defeats the test runners and declares that his new style of dueling will be fun.

Later, Ryan showcases his Duel Runner and introduces the world to Turbo Dueling. The Golden Flash has been there for Ryan throughout all of his turbo duels, even against the Dark Signers and Meklords.
